Teeth Whitening Procedures

Teeth that have lost their whiteness, color and aesthetics due to internal or external reasons can be made more aesthetic and white with various systems. There are different products on the market for teeth whitening.

Bleaching is mainly divided into two:
1- Office Bleaching: Whitening systems applied in the clinic under the control of a doctor
2- Home Bleaching: Whitening systems that the patient can apply at home

Things to consider after bleaching:
After bleaching, every patient has more or less sensitivity. This sensitivity disappears within three days. The use of painkillers half an hour before the procedure will minimize this sensitivity. Cold foods and drinks should be avoided for the first few days. The use of desensitizing paste recommended by your physician will reduce this problem. Especially in the first three days (ideally one week and ten days), all kinds of coloring foods and drinks (cigarettes, tea, coffee, caramel, turnip, red wine, cherry, tomato paste, etc.) should be avoided. The effect of whitening lasts longer in patients who brush their teeth at least twice a day, have regular check-ups every six months, do not smoke and do not consume excessive tea and coffee. It can be supported with home whitening every two to three years.
